Press Release Write-in Voting Instructions
The October 26 Township Committee Candidates Night will air on MendhamTV every day at 4am, 8am, 1pm, 7pm, and 10pm through Tuesday 11/3/09.
It is a FACT that I am running for the Township Committee as a write-in candidate.
Focus - We have the right to expect that all five committee members are focused on the needs of Mendham Township. I will devote all my efforts to be a listener and problem solver for Mendham Township and only Mendham Township. Priorities need to be reconsidered and dollars spent more wisely. We should increase shared services with other municipalities. Let's put everything on the table.
Accountability - We have the right to expect that our representatives are accountable to us. The comments and behavior of certain long term committeemen have held that we should applaud but never challenge their decisions. The residents of Mendham Township want a committee which values their input. I will hear your concerns in a respectful and a thoughtful manner.
Care - I have lived in Mendham Township since 1961. Diane and I have raised our family here. I have devoted much of my life serving Mendham Township; the Township Committee, the Open Space Committee, the Master Plan Committee, the Brookside Engine Company #1 and the Planning Board. I will work to maintain what is right and improve what is not in a fiscally-responsible manner.
Time - It is time to make sure that important
decisions are not made in private between a few. My position on the Township
Committee will reinforce the public's right to be heard and to have their concerns
weighed during the decision making process. We need to re-envision how local
government keeps the public informed. It is time for a new direction. It is
time for a change.
